Stephen R. Brown, Jr., born and raised on Montana’s Hi-Line, is a seasoned attorney with deep ties to agriculture and the local community. Holding a J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science, Steve has dedicated his legal career to serving the needs of the Hi-Line community. Over the years, he has been instrumental in forming and supporting various nonprofit organizations and has served as a board member and leader in community initiatives. Steve’s legal practice focuses on transactional services in areas such as business, agriculture, and estate planning. He is a former President of the Board of Directors of the Federal Defenders of Montana, Inc., and maintains active memberships in the State Bar of Montana and the American Bar Association. Beyond law, he enjoys golf, bowling, and hunting and values time with his family.

Katie Kuhr

Katie Kuhr

Katie Kuhr, a Havre native, draws upon her strong agricultural roots and diverse professional background to provide exceptional legal counsel. After graduating with honors in Psychology from Montana State University-Billings in 2007, Katie initially pursued a career as a licensed addiction counselor and served the Montana Department of Corrections. Her passion for justice led her to the University of Montana, where she obtained her J.D. in 2019, actively participating in the law school’s trial team. Following law school, Katie clerked for Judge Yvonne Laird of the 17th Judicial District Court of Montana. Engaged in her community, Katie is a member of REAL MT, Class V, serves on the Board of the Hill County Community Foundation, and was a former president of Havre’s Helping Haven. She also contributes to the Hill County Park Board’s Rules & Regulations Committee. When not practicing law, Katie can be found running, hiking, or assisting on the family farm. Her areas of practice encompass agricultural law, corporate law, estate planning, probate, and real estate transactions, reflecting her well-rounded expertise.

Jamie Hower

Jamie Hower, originally from Pocatello, Idaho, and raised in the Missoula area, brings a dynamic background and a passion for justice to her legal practice. After graduating with high honors from the University of Montana with a B.A. in Sociology (emphasis in Criminology) in 2009 and her J.D. in 2012, Jamie’s legal journey took her to Nevada, where she clerked for three judges in the Seventh Judicial District Court. She later became a Nevada Deputy Public Defender, successfully defending clients in a wide range of cases, including murder and attempted murder. After practicing in various areas of law, including family, criminal, worker’s compensation, and employment law, Jamie returned to Havre in 2019 to rejoin Bosch, Kuhr, Dugdale & Brown. Jamie’s extensive legal expertise spans commercial and general litigation, corporate law, labor and employment law, family law, property law, and criminal defense. Beyond law, she enjoys quality time with her family, traveling, camping, and advocating for mental health services, especially for veterans and disabled individuals.
